On Valentine’s Day
this year a new web site has opened to help encourage a renewed love
between parents and cloth diapers. That site is The Diaper Jungle.
This informational site has opened to help parents understand that
new choices in cloth diapering products make them easier then ever
to use and certainly as convenient to use as their disposable
counterparts. This new site contains multi-media awareness tools
geared toward the education of cloth diaper novices. Among the many
resources found here are cloth diaper slideshows, terminology
definitions, fabric descriptions, testimonials, home sewing
tutorials, and a cloth diaper store directory. A community forum
has also been established so that cloth diapering parents can find
support and encouragement in their decision to use cloth diapers.
The Diaper Jungle
has many expansion plans for future months including the addition of
more audio clips, video demonstrations, and informative articles.
They also plan to promote and encourage cloth diaper research, which
in recent years, has been incomplete and unfairly biased.
The site’s
founder, Tiffany Washko had this to say “We are hoping to provide a
definitive resource for all parents who use cloth diapers or who
just want to find out if cloth diapers are a feasible option for
them. We hope to encourage the continued growth of cloth diaper
usage and the environmental and personal benefits that accompany
their use. It is important to us that parents realize that they DO
have another option in diapering products and that disposables are
not necessarily the best choice.”
